Businessman Mishal bin Mutlaq bin Jadaan Al-Zayadi Al-OtaibiOwner of Mahubat

A Saudi businessman and the owner of Mahubat, whom its audience calls «the master of the Sha'l». He won the King's Sword for Sha'l camels at the ninth King Abdulaziz Camel Festival; at the tenth he set up a camp that was one of the festival's largest, and held a celebration in honour of camel owners, «to celebrate their men and honour their path in the arenas of honour and pride».

The writer Fawaz bin Abdullah sees in him «a man of the sector more than the owner of a herd»: «at every participation he appears in a different way, with a greater responsibility, and with a presence that goes beyond owning a herd and competing with it».

When «Sumu» was crowned, he thanked the festival's management and organising committees, praising an organisation that supports «this authentic heritage and places it among the world's great occasions».

Written about him

A man of the sector more than the owner of a herd

From an article by the writer Fawaz bin Abdullah, September 2026, which Mahubat called «a testimony we are proud of».

Socially

«The social presence that comes with Mishal Al-Zayadi's participations matters no less than his presence in the contest: at his occasions you find a variety of guests, a care to set the social scene within a wider national frame, and a welcome for the owners and competitors that eases the rivalry between them».

In organisation

«Notable too is his engagement with the organisational and legal side of the Camel Club, and his call for measures that protect the competitions and bring fairness among the participants».

In culture

«The headquarters Mishal Al-Zayadi built at the tenth festival shows clearly a different understanding of heritage: it is not enough to preserve it; we must know how to present it».

«Real achievement is not only in owning a strong herd, but in your presence becoming a reason to move the market, develop the environment and widen the opportunities».
